Lunch Break - Holiday Toy Drive
Individuals, businesses and corporations can get into the holiday spirit by purchasing new toys and gift cards for ages newborn to 17 years. Or, if preferred, make a monetary donation and Lunch Break will do the shopping. Toy Drive collection begins Nov. 1st. The deadline for bringing unwrapped gifts to Lunch Break is 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 10th. Lunch Break thanks its donors and volunteers for their generous support in making a child’s holiday wish come true. Toys will be distributed to families during a holiday shopping day on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019 at Tower Hill Church in Red Bank. Embroiderers' Guild of America-Monmouth Chapter is dedicated to teaching and sharing the joys of needlework. We welcome stitchers of all levels.
There are sit-&-stitch tables at each meeting as well as special projects. Evening stitchers will meet Monday, November 4, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00PM at the Colts Neck Library, 1 Winthrop Drive, Colts Neck, NJ. Sunday stitchers will meet Sunday, November 10, 2019, from 1:00 to 4:00pm, at the DeHart Community Center, 120 Burnett Drive, Maplewood, NJ. Day stitchers will meet Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at the Colts Neck Community Church, 25 Merchant Way, Colts Neck, NJ. Girl Scout Mini Food Drive at the Galley Restaurant
On November 13 at 4pm, Brownie Troop 201 from Oakhurst/OTES, will go to the Galley (1313 Memorial Dr, Asbury Park) to make their own pizza. At 5pm, families are invited to buy dinner and hang out. We are asking people to bring in non perishable items to be donated to Fulfill.

by Claire Garland (Director, The Sand Hill Indian Historical Association) at The Historic Crawford House In Tinton Falls
For centuries before the arrival of Europeans in the 1600’s, eastern Monmouth County was the Territory of the Turtle Clan of Lenape Native Americans. Join us as Ms. Garland traces the fascinating and little known history of our Native American heritage in Monmouth County. Ms. Garland will display a selection of historical artifacts from her collection. The Crawford House is located at 750 Tinton Ave in Tinton Falls just around the corner from MJ’s and Woody’s, across the bridge.
